PEAKED IN HS VIBES. A CITY OF COMFORT.
Star Rating - 12/22/2021
PEAKED IN HS VIBES. A CITY OF COMFORT.
Good city for middle-aged people who have kids and are settling down and want a white picket fence life.
If you're young here- it is brutal. Nightlife can be very dangerous depending on ur crowd and if it's not that you will just be drinking with people from your highschool...

This city is the definition of 'Peaked in HS'. People always ask what school you went to because they can judge how you grew up.
STL is a big fish in small pond vibes. But the "Big fish" here, are not big.
Very segregated as well. Many residents have a view of North county being dangerous when its just a black suburban area..Yes there are some bad areas but there are plenty of bad areas in south county too. Racism is real here. The School districts here have vibes of "If your black we don't want you here so we are going to target you and try to get you in trouble for every single thing"

If you were raised in the city vs county, it is two completely different worlds.

Pros-
Affordable
Good service
Nice genuine people--- (But you will also meet the biggest snakes)
WONDERFUL FOOD!!! That is the one thing I will give STL. the food is good and affordable. Imos, Chinamen, Mexican(you have to go out ur way to find it authentic, but when u do, so good.) Vess Sodas.
Stl does have a culture to it
Pretty parks. Stuff to do for little kids.

CONS-
Compliant people. It is the city of comfort. No opportunity's.
Nobody travels outside of Stl or wants to see the world.
Small minded.
Need a car
Same old same old- This is the place where people who like to eat at the same chain restaurant every Friday night live.
I NEVER ONCE FELT ENERGY OF AMBITION IN THIS CITY! If I'm in NYC-MIA-ATL-LA, I feel the vibes of the city that motivate me, but I never felt that there.

Overall, Good for people who wanna live a white picket fence life and like baseball. If you cannot get over highschool and miss it, move to STL, you will be right at home.
It is a good city to work a decent job while you watch tv when you get home and go to a baseball game on the weekends. What people do here is watch baseball, sit on the couch all day, eat imos pizza, and repeat the next day.
